Battery Disconnect switch - can I add?
Yahoo Message Number: 88159
Is it possible to add a Battery Disconnect switch to Ciao Baby's coach batteries?
Something, which I cannot locate, is pulling a load and I don't feel like pulling all the fuses every time I store her.  Since she's in a garage, the solar panels can't keep the coach batteries charged.
Wouldn't an easy answer be to add a battery disconnect switch?  Is it simple to add one or should I hire out?

Thanks for the help,

Tessa in TX '92 MB- Ciao Baby!

Sure---Camping world, and I suspect many other places, has a small device that looks like a guillotine. One side has a female battery connect and the other a male. Just disconnect one of the negative battery wires, replace it on the battery with the device and connect the wire to the other side of the device.
Then when you want to disconnect just move the lever up and presto, done, sort of like a mechanical fuse. Cost, less than 10 bucks and so easy I can do it!! Good luck

I use a Battery Disconnect for my Coach Battery. The one I use attaches to the negative post on the battery. You disconnect the negative battery cable, attach the Battery Switch to the battery¹s negative post and attach the negative battery cable to the switch. Then to open/close the current I twist a device on top of the switch. Simple and fast.
