Replacement Shroud for Coleman A/C

The shroud on my 1986 LD's rooftop Coleman A/C is nearly shot.  In checking around for a replacement, it looks like new shrouds cost about 1/4th the price of a complete A/C unit.  Ouch!  Can anyone steer me toward any vendor of replacement shrouds (new or used) where a replacement can be obtained at a reasonable price?   I'm in the greater Phoenix area but internet vendors would be fine. Thanks.

If still mechanically sound, try painting.

Our shroud got 'fuzzy as the epoxy deteriorated, along with a minor crack. I removed it, repaired the crack with a fiberglas repair kit, then painted the outside with several coats of a heavy-duty enamel.
That lasted several years, and not long ago, I repeated the paint job.
Unfortunately, the unit died shortly after, so it has now been replaced.

It took me about 10 minutes to climb on the roof, remove the 4 screws, replace the weatherstripping with the new that came with the shroud, screw it back down, and ta-da! Looks fab-u-lous!
The shrouds get brittle and crack over time, especially at the screw holes where most of the stress is carried. It is wise to use washers on the top side as large as possible to distribute the load.

Good point, Todd.  I do think there were washers there that I reused.
Our old shroud looked like someone had borrowed the corner as a seat.
Not a good idea!
