CB radios still a good option for the price

" What should I look for to mate to that weird zigzag  connector?" John; How about a CB radio. That connector is what  connects to the back of a CB. Assuming the antenna is still up there on your  roof, and working (a 2001 should be), why not just get the radio? A Cobra DX19  IV from Amazon.com is less than $50. That is the model that came with my LD. The  hard part is putting in the antenna and power connections. Seems to me it would  be easier to just reconnect the CB radio than try to come up with something  different. You'll find it useful on the road, long after Mexico. Truckers on  channel 19 can be very informative about road conditions ahead, and it's  invaluable for caravanning with other motorhomes. I'll bet you spend more than  $50 a month for your cell phone. CB's don't have a monthly fee or much upkeep  costs. Ron with a '99TKB
