Goodyear Tires Phased Out? December 13, 2007, 12:23:12 pm Yahoo Message Number: 87119Good morning, all. I have been researching tires for three days and had just decided to go with the Goodyear G675's for my 22' LD. My tire guy said they are no longer making this model. The new Goodyear is significantly more expensive than the g675, and I have not read any reviews of it. I hesitate to go with Michelins, but seem to be headed down that road. Any ideas/feedback on the new Goodyears? Thanks, Camille

You might also look at a Kumho Road Venture HT; it's not all-steel, but it's a pretty good tire. Look also at the Michelin XPS Rib (all steel) or the LTX M/S or A/S; all these come in the 225/75R/16 load range E size. If your 22' has 16.5" wheels, what's available is very limited. I would guess that your 22' has a GVWR of 11000-11500 pounds, and even for this lesser (than 14050) GVWR, I'd still suggest load range E tires.Joan

Goodrich Commercial T/A Load Range E on my 31' SOB with a slide and have been very pleased with their performance. Much less expensive than others.GlenNo virus found in this outgoing message. Waynes Tire in Arroyo Grande is installing them on Monday. Phew! Glad that bit of studying is done. Now on to more exciting projects like SOLAR and SEWING! Thanks again Joan. It's not unheard of for a tire guy to tell a customer that a particular tire is "no longer available"; it usually means that he doesn't want to take the trouble to get the tires from a different supplier and he has another tire he wants to sell you. Be sure to check the manufacture dates on the tires you do buy; don't accept "old" or date mis-matched tires.Joan
