Acrylic Sink Cleaner & the Bedeviled "Blue" and Lisa

For anyone it might help...I used "Scrub Free" spray bathroom cleaner on the kitchen sinks tonight after having made shrimp curry...anyone who's had curry knows how hard it is to remove turmeric from just about anything (I think the kitchen towels are terminal)...but the "Scrub Free" literally chased the yellow down the drain...and it also took care of the coffee stain build up I was getting in one sink...notwithstanding washing dishes every day.

On Sunday I used the same stuff on a really nasty plastic/acrylic shower door when I was helping a friend prep a condo for rental.  It made some serious inroads in the soap/grunge build up there.

"Scrub Free" has a nasty chemical smell and is in all likelihood really bad for one's lungs, eyes and skin...so caveat emptor, wear gloves, and make sure there's good ventilation if you use this stuff.

More than a P.S.:  Lisa, rum news about "Blue" and you have our concern and well wishes...As for the smoke...try some vinegar in a dish and set it out for a few days.  I believe you can also get some ozone sprays such as they use in hotels to neutralize smoke...stay away from "Fabreeze" or however they spell it...I sprayed that on my mother's furniture (she was a heavy smoker) when prepping the house for sale...within 30 minutes of sitting down on the sofa I felt as though I had a very heavy cold and my head was full of cement and I couldn't breathe deeply...and I am not allergy/asthma prone.
Also...get some plain old baking soda and sprinkle it on the carpets and upholstery and let it sit for about 20 mins, then vacuum it up.
And no kidding, check out "Heloise" Hints on the internet...Google her up...she has a daily hints column in many many newspapers and her advice on such matters as smoke and odors is generally quite good and accurate.
