Mattress Toppers November 28, 2007, 12:18:55 am Yahoo Message Number: 86420Just read your post - we purchased from Macy's on sale the very similiar memory foam TWIN (2 of them) 3 inch matttress pads. They even have removable washable covers. Cost about $55 on sale. Then I took a padded king sized mattress cover from our home and the result is a very comfortable bed! And sounds like a good way to go. Just googled 3"memory foam twins pads and cheapest found were $170 and no covers but will keep searching - do you know what density your's are? We also have a Tempurpedic at home and love it. Do you use the mattrress cover to keep everything together?Congratulations on your good fortune.Barbara 1993 22'TK Gypsy[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Barbara, I think some people had luck with overstock.com. I personally wasn't sure I would like the foam topper. I bought mine from Costco (Novaform 2") so I could return it easily if it didn't suit me. I've had it nearly a year now. :-) I think if you can make your own covers, it's possible to cut a King sized topper in half and get a super deal. This Serta King size 2", 4 lb. mattress is $80 shipped: http://tinyurl.com/yp3tx7I'd search for reviews on it before buying. These things are heavy and would be hard to squeeze back into a box for return shipping.BTW, a 2" topper reduces the space in the cabover bed.Andrew 1999 23.5' TK, SF Bay Area
