Uh Oh! That looks like another must have for me!
Not cookware but they do have collapsible bakeware, I dumped all my muffin tins and cake pans and meat loaf pans and all that a year or so ago for the soft plastic stuff (another CRS moment as I can't remember the name of the stuff) and I roll it up with a rubber band around it and stuff it under the dinette.

Silicone....the greatest stuff to come to our kitchens in years. As much as I despise silicone sealants, made into pie pans and tray, it the greatest and so easy to clean. One of my favorites is a silicone basting brush. Nothing sticks to it which makes cleaning a snap. A drop of dish soap and a little water and it's clean. Even olive oil washes right off.

You must be lovin all of this collapsible gear. It has me thinking about the extra food and wine that could be carried.
How much stuff can you cram into an LD before it explodes?

I found a collapsible strainer at Bed, Bath and Beyond.  It looks like the Rubbermaid bowls Jonna and Mimi found only it has a handle and the strainer is made of silicone and has holes for straining.

Now if someone would just invent collapsible cookware.  VBG.

Thanks for that useful information, Kathi.
Along those lines, and as an alternative suggestion,I have been using a collapsible steamer for years  that also strains and has the advantages of doing double duty in the galley, has no handle so it stores more easily, is free-standing, and costs less:

Once equipped with a collapsible strainer and the previously mentioned collapsible containers, you might want also a collapsible funnel:

collapsible cups:

collapsible waste basket:

a collapsible laundry hamper (get some class, people; stop using that plastic trash bag :-) )

and maybe a collapsible cart,

if you've got any storage space left, which is probably unlikely.

I can get a little nuts if I spend too much time in places like IKEA, Bed Bath & Beyond, Linens N Things.   I usually hit all of those stores to see what is new when we get back to the US in the spring.  I haven't been to IKEA yet and I'm thinking I should pass this year and save all that impulse money for gas.
Thanks for the word Larry, silicone.  It was one of those moments when the word just isn't there.

Larry also said "How much stuff can you cram into an LD before it explodes?"    I'm trying not to do the science experiment on this one.  My job while we are here in Cat City is to go through every bin inside the rig and get rid of anything we are not using.  It's tough. I've got 2 boxes going, one is garage sale/ it's out of here and the other is store it/see if I really want it.   I'm trying to keep the garage sale box fuller than the other one.  I keep reminding myself that if there is too much stuff in here and it becomes too difficult to get to all of it we don't use it even if we might want to.

5/17/06 Jonna & Mimi, Thanks again for sharing LD storage tips (Escapade) like utilizing the area behind the sofas, under the sofas & bunk areas. It's nice to know we can now take a lot more stuff on our first trip out! Paula & Randy D.
