Tires bias ply - radials May 10, 2006, 06:28:27 pm Yahoo Message Number: 66566Greetings, I recently had 4 new tires installed on the back of my 23 TK. Though I paid for radial tires, I learned today that they installed bias-plys. I'm a bit miffed, but as the tire shop is in Las Vegas New Mexico and I'm in Colorado, I'm stuck with them. Question, Do I have to put bias plys on the front as well or can radials go on the fronts? Thanks for any information.Jingle

When we bought our '83 used, it had radials front, bias-ply rear, and there were no handling problems I can attribute to that combo. What does your sales receipt say was installed? What size? What is actually on there?Steve

Big O is a pretty big name around here. I'm going to call tomarrow, but I'm not holding out to much hope for satisfaction. It seems that there isn't much customer service these days. I'll let you know what happens.Jingle

The size I used was 8.75R16.5 in a 3-season tire.Good Luck.Steve

And if you don't get any help there send a letter to the New Mexico Attorney General's office. The AG loves getting into the bait and switch folks.Safe Travels,Dave
