Wow, we ran an ozone machine that we use in the house in the LD overnight.  What a difference!  Pretty much eradicated the smoke smell, Praise God!  I have a fellow looking at the unit now to give me an estimate on steam cleaning all the upholstery, carpet and valances.
We will probably replace the valances down the road but Hub has other projects around the house he needs to finish up...mainly a new hot tub room which will be well needed once we are done with the rig.
 I will continue to wash down the walls and try to remove some of the stains but we will probably go ahead and paint her insides this fall/spring.
 Ordered Michelin Rib tires for her, waiting for them to be delivered to Discount Tire and those will get put on once in.  Hopefully no more blowouts for a while...whew!

Hi CK, You guys are providing a wealth of info for fellow LDers. Thanks! Anyway, before you mount your new Michelin Ribs, LT225/75R16, at Discount Tire, check you rims to see if you have brass or steel valve stems. If not, see the Tireman at:  http://www.ridgecrest.ca.us/~tire-man/valve.html

 Ask him about mailing you the parts.  He prefers to do installs on Friday and Saturdays. You can camp overnight in front of his shop (he has a 30A RV outlet).
 He custom installs one-piece brass valve stems that are bent to fit the Ford duallies. Both valve stems then are easily accessible from the outside after install.

Hi Rubin, David is going to talk to Discount Tires today to see when they come in.  He wants to ask them if they "know" how to install.  We will not be making it to CA anytime this year unfortunately.  He does want to have them installed.  If they can do it, he will order the parts.  We have our first trip planned for Mother's Day weekend so we are racing the clock.

Hi CK,
 We had discount tire at I-25 & Montgomery install new Michellins and a Tireman valve kit for us just three weeks ago.  They did not have a problem doing the installiations and boy aqre the tires easier to check now.

Hi Dave, we just ordered the set from Tireman.  Our tires get in next week and they will be put on Thursday...we are leaving Friday! When/how to pack will now be an adventure.
