Florida to Massachusetts April 29, 2006, 09:40:28 pm Yahoo Message Number: 66081Hello All-- I just completed the trip up from Florida to Massachusetts returning our LD from it's winter home.I took my two boys (11 & 12) with me which meant a stop at Disney. We stayed at Fort Wilderness--expensive, but very nice. We also stopped in Myrtle Beach--too cool to swim, and at my mom's in NYC.I recorded 4 gas stops and 1288 miles with an average mileage of 9.2. I mostly drove 62-64 MPH. Gas ranged from 2.65-2.85 per gallon. All but one of my fill-ups was at Shell. I get 5% off using a Shell card, saving 13-14 cents per gallon. I also used the LD's great cruising range, filling up in GA, SC and NJ to take advantage of somewhat lower prices.Of course, the LD performed perfectly!George & Jo Ann Lexington, MA 99 MB

Re: [Life With A Lazy Daze RV] Florida to Massachusetts Reply #3 – April 30, 2006, 07:47:29 pm Yahoo Message Number: 66121George: Thanks. Our's is a '99 26 RB E450 with the V10 and I can do 9+mph when not towing and a bit over 8 when towing when holding to 58 to 62 mph. We are dreading this summer's trip with the price of gas. From FL to Southwest Canada, then Washington, Oregorn, California (down to San Diego), and back to FL via SC. Will have to take out a loan on the national debt but hey, who is to say that gas may not be $5 a gal by next year. Thanks aga
