I have used reflextix in my windows both in winter to help keep the heat in and cold out and in summer to keep the heat out and the air conditioning from working so hard.

Another option I am considering is making curtains out of quilted fabric such as http://www.1windowquilts.com/rvalue.html that has a R-value of 4.99.
My question is:  Does anyone know what the R-value of the reflextix is when used in windows?

Do  a google search.   They are not as bulky as quilted shades so may  be worth considering.  Doug   26.5 MB

Thanks Gus, but it must be more than 7 to get the good results you have seen in low temps, don't you think? Anyway, I was just curious what the numbers were.
