Jonna, after seeing the clip-on mirror extensions you and Mimi had, I bought a pair at CW http://tinyurl.com/r3doy> and put them on my mirrors.  I really liked the extra viewing power, especially above, but I found they caused the fixed mirrors to vibrate and I eventually took them off.
I'm wondering if you have the clip-on mirrors on your new mirrors and if that could be the cause of the vibration or wobblytudiness.

You're right Chris, that might be it.  The driver's side doesn't rattle though and they both have them.  We mainly need the clip-on for the passenger side as they are invaluable in watching the roofline when backing in somewhere and also watching the awning occasionally.  It's hard but you can stop, open the door and stick your head out on the drivers side and look for tree branches or whatever. When we get back to Cat City Mimi is going to mess with them and see what she can fix.  It's just not easy to do where we are here, we're parked in sand and she doesn't have the old ones here.  She may decide that giving up the clip-ons (if that is necessary) and not being really happy with the view from the new Velvacs make putting the old ones back on a better option.
While I don't do most of the RV driving, I do drive often enough to keep it familiar.  I had no problem seeing on both sides close in to the rig with the old ones and I don't think these new ones are really worth all the fuss.  You have a larger viewing area close in on the lane next to you but it is still distorted and you have less viewing on the large and 'real size' mirror above.  They are not as easy to adjust since you have to adjust them each individually, they don't move as smoothly when pushing on the mirror inside that cowling as moving the entire mirror.  Since we had no problems using the original mirrors, the improvement with these is minimal and they have added other problems.  It certainly would never make my 10 (or 20) best improvements list.

I just installed mine last week.  Pumped out of a gallon jug on ground with no problem.
Batteries did take extra water and I believe it is because it fills the cells to the lower lip of the cell opening and not halfway between that and the metal plates as suggested in LD manual to prevent boil over.  Wonderful piece of equipment.
