In reply to Steve K's question about mileage on the Honda when towing the car: NO the mileage does not add up.  I have a 98 CRV which I purchased new and it has held up fine all these years.  I have towed it approx 60,000 miles and the transmission is fine.  I do follow the severe maintenance schedules.
I did have problems with the brakes dragging but that was not Honda's fault but rather problems with the Brake Buddy.  The BB and brakes worked fine when we crossed the country in Oct 2005 and I hope that continues.
We renew our RVing on April 5 and expect to return to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland once again.
We did take a shake down trip to Mexico last week and had a problem with the vent fan opening while travelling.  The lever above the stove does not fit snugly into any detents and I assume the force of the wind or suction pulled the vent cover outwards and the lever to a new position.
Anyone have any remedies or ideas?  I have SOB, a 24RB Bigfoot, but I believe the stove and fan are similar to the LD.
When I return to CA next November I shall try to sell the Bigfoot and purchase a 23 LD.  I am going to build a log cabin on our Nova Scotian property this summer, with the help of friends, so do not know what the future holds in regards RV's in general.  I do want an even smaller unit and one that will do reasonably well in gas economy.  No motels for me ever even if we are just driving between two houses on opposite ends of the hemisphere.

Mike, I'm just curious...what made you decide to sell the BF?
