This reminds me, does anyone else's oven light okay, seem to be baking okay, and then within 10-15 minutes, or perhaps less, you open the oven door and only the pilot lite is on?  I don't know if this is what it does to regulate the temperature, or if it's malfunctioning.

No, it's not malfunctioning...that's the way it's supposed to work.  Once the oven gets up to the temperature you've set it at, the burners go off, and just the pilot lite remains on.  Once the oven's temperature reduces by a certain number of degrees (don't know what this set point is), the burners come back on.  So, unless the burners never come back on again, you don't have a problem.

Thanks Linda.  I grew up with a gas stove, but it's been many years since I've used one.
