Since the Escapees free email service is located in Livingston, and they are currently without power for what may be quite a while, I'm changing all my Yahoo Groups over to:

I have about a hundred available invites for GMail.  If anyone needs one, send me an email, and I'll send you an invite.

Joe, can one download Gmail with Outlook Express?  I'm not interested in having to read my email online at some website.

Well I am not Joe but I can answer this one. You can download Gmail with almost all Email programs. I have Outlook Express and the old but reliable Pegasus set up to download my Gmail. The only problem with Gmail is as far as I know they are still in Beta and they are poor about telling you about changes and don't respond to problems. I had POp set up for a long time then it just quit working. I finally found a change they had made and allowed for it in Pegasus and downloads have been pretty much ok for several months now. You do get 10 meg of space and a weird Web interface if you use the Web Mail for backup.
I get about 1000 Emails a week more or less to my Gmail account and from time to time I get timeouts downloading them. All in all it has been great for a free email system..

Linda - you can pop and you get 2.5 GB not 10 meg.
I use it and love it.
