An evil campground electrical box attacked my 2002 Ld and broke off a piece of the plastic end cap on the rear. Yes they are plastic, not aluminum and not fiber glass. Does anyone have a thought on having this repaired ?

Hello Jack, The End CAp, meaning the formed 90 degree angle flanged strip that covers the joint between the aft end and the sides of your LD, is made of ABS plastic.  If this piece os the only part on your LD that was damaged bythis attack, that was a truly wonderous happenstance! If the VHB tape that bonds the End Cap to both the aft end and the sides of your LD was also damaged, the repair becomes more involved.  I suggest you call Steve or Vince at the mothership and get their recommendation on this one.

No envy from me on this damage.

Depending on the extent of the damage, if it's minor, it's possible to "weld" ABS and most other thermo-plastics. The 3-M VHB (very high bond) tape is avialable from McMaster-Carr on-line if that's needed.
Course it would take a body shop, or someone more skilled than I, to fill
