Fleeing Hurricanes September 21, 2005, 01:40:36 am Yahoo Message Number: 58232Yep. The LD is in the driveway, cooling its refrigerator overnight. We head out in the AM, getting out of Rita's way. We live about 83 miles from the TX coast, but have been told that, if Rita does head our way, we can expect hurricane force winds at least 100 miles inland. This is one of the reasons we bought Dreamcatcher, but the first time we've actually used it to outrun a hurricane.Sharon N.

We live on the northern side of Houston (so technically, we should be "safe", at least from flooding) but we are not taking chances...For us, it was one of the reasons why we bought our LD as well...Jan 2001 26.5 MB
