Thanks Eudoro and Anne for the nice compliments and David for the great 'uplifting' link (that is weird, there is a volcano growing near Bend, in another thousand or so years it will be a problem).

Blogging is not new but I'm new to writing one and it is very different than writing the travel journals I'm used to.  I'm still searching for a style that suits me, it's a whole different medium.
That said, I think it is a fantastic way to share your travels and any other info you want to share including pictures.  I'm using Blogger and it is easy and efficient, is web based so works great on macs or pc's.  It will store your pictures and your blog for free, I have no idea what their business plan is or how they make money.  It's simple to log on to their site from anywhere including your cell phone, upload a few pictures and some text and *presto* it is on your blog.
