22 ft Lazy Daze Will it fit on my driveway with the roof overhang

Is there anybody out there that lives by me, in Fountain Valley, CA, that might do me a huge favor and pull up on my driveway to see if a 22 ft fits before I run off an buy one that I am considering.
I have 22ft and a little more, on the ground, but am not sure in regards to the overhang on the roof.   HELP! Karen Fiul 714-356-3389

 Karen, there is no roof overhang--that is, the overcab portion is shorter than the hood.
However, while older Chevy-based small LD models are 22' long, recent LDs (in fact, all small LDs built on Ford chassis) are 23.5' long. It sounds as if you'll have a tight fit, so better be sure which type you're looking at.

I am concerned in regards to the roof overhang, and kind of depending on the fact that the cab-over part, will be shorter than where the bumper is.  It will be tight, but if it fits, I want to get it.
If it doesn't, I am out of luck.

Why don't you measure and tell us:

- Distance from eave edge to ground

- Distance from eave/gutter edge to house wall

Also, note whether your driveway is flat, whether level, and if you will need to level it side-to-side to run the fridge, then what is the closest approach of the drive surface to the eave edge.

 I *think* Karen was talking about the roof overhang on her house -- at least that's what I understood from her post.
 The height of our 23.5' LD is 10'3" to the A/C.  I imagine that someone with an older 22' LD will chime in here and let you know how tall their rig is.

Anyone out here in HB, FV, or Costa mesa with a 22 footer? ? ? ?
I assume you MUST back in rather than park nose first which will certainly clear most overhangs.

I assume you MUST back in rather than park nose first which will certainly clear most overhangs.
No, I can go nose in, my entry door would be on the wrong side, but that's OK.  I don't know how far back from the nose the overhead cab really sits, ya know?

My 22ft Front Lounge, 84 Model, measures 20" from the front bumper back to the cabover nose. (cabover nose is 20" farther back than front bumper).

Point is, with the 22' (Chevy), the sloping rear upper body may give you more horizontal clearance of roof to the bumper than the front does. May not be the case with the Ford (23.5'). Body style too will affect issues like roof appliance placement.
