Steering arm -- update August 31, 2005, 02:56:25 pm Yahoo Message Number: 57502I compiled and printed out a list of all the "check points" that were suggested and took this to the Ford place. The service advisor looked over the list and assured me that the mechanic *and* the "front end guy* had thoroughly checked everything on it and concluded that all the fittings had been overgreased at the last service; my regular mechanic was not available and a less- experienced tech had done the basics. They weren't able to find anything amiss with the steering arm, the steering box, or any other of the steering components and suggested that the Safe-T-Plus might be out of adjustment. The truck does pull *slightly* to the right, so it may be so. The last adjustment of the Safe-T-Plus (and a full alignment) was done about 5000 miles ago; I would expect an adjustment to hold for many more miles than that in "normal" driving conditions. I have a post-Ladeze gtg appointment at Henderson's to check out the Safe-T-Plus -- Gee, it'll be good to see the old gang again! ;-)Thanks again for all the help!Joan

Net contact may be iffy on the road after the Ladeze, but I'll post when I can. Leaving this a.m. for OR. ;-)Joan
