Chevy and Dodge are still not marketing class-C cutaway chassis, as far as I am aware, and haven't for many years. All the years you mention are only Ford.Steve

Diesel and GM 8.1, both with the Allison 5 speed tranny. Jayco and Gulfstream both using it. What a platform for a 30' LD. respectfully, rayjust for the record, not to hyjack the thread.==========================================================

By the way, I'm following the market and other groups of discusiion, and it seems that the Gulfstream model is a complete disaster. There's many new owners of new models mad at Gulfstream, with their motorhomes falling in pieces (2005 models!), the support is practically inexistent. You'll find semi-new 2005 Kodiak Gulfstreams (and even new ones) for sale at ebay, some "as is". The problems are Gulfstream's, not Chevy.Chevy builds also an 22000 GVWR version of the same Kodiak chassis. Considering that the engine is "out of cabin", a 30' LD would be stretched to at least 32 feet, just with the longer "nose". Neverthless, it would be a fantastic LD, longer nose or not...Eudoro "Pinocchio" Lemos, Jr.
