Routing Through SD and Nebraska

Has anyone traveled Alternate Route 14 from Spearfish to Sturgis, South Dakota and visited the Spearfish Canyon Foundation Cultural Center?  That sounds like an intersting side trip but I would like to know if the route is appropriate for a 30'LD. Route 385 and 44 from Lead SD on to Rapid City also appear inviting but with the same concern for height and width restrictions.  I know to stay off of Route 87, "The Needles Highway."

Also, has anyone taken Route 2 from Alliance to Thedford, Nebraska.
It is listed as a scenic drive.  Has anyone found it so?

 Not having an RV (yet!), I can't answer some of your questions.  I can tell you that in Alliance, Nebraska, you will find "Carhenge".  It is a replica of Stonehenge, made out of junked cars, all painted gray.
Only in America!  Be sure to check it out.
