GaryI haven't switched the flooded cell Trojan 105s for recombinant, maintenance free batteries. What I did do is make the wet cell batteries almost "maintenance free" by adding a ProFill. Check the archives if you're not familiar with it. In summary, they turn what otherwise is a difficult chore, into a couple of minute, almost fun (yeah, I'm easily amused) thing to do. I guess I consider it fun because every time I check/add fluid levels with the ProFill, I'm reminded what a great investment this little device is!!BTW, dollar for dollar, it's pretty hard to beat flooded cell batteries. In fact, IMO, there are only two circumstances in an RV where the sealed type would be better. One is if you absolutely have to mount the batteries in an unvented living space. The other is if you are going to subject the batteries to extreme cold and cannot assure that they will be charged enough to avoid freeze damage (a discharged battery can freeze). Neither of these factors apply to me, so I'll continue to use flooded cell batteries for their tried and true longevity and cost to value ratio.all the best,bumper

I don't think LD ever installed a pair of 12V coach batteries. Assuming they ARE 6V batteries, I'd follow the advice others have given here.Steve
