Advanced RV rating has taken a hit

Based on recent usage of this repair facility I strongly suggest looking else where as work performed was not as expected or even satisfactory.   They may have been good in the past to boost their reputation but things have changed.  OH and no I didn't push them time wise, I told them to keep the RV as long as it took to do the job right, using factory parts and repair guidelines.  They didn't, but billed for it.

 Chris, maybe I missed a post somewhere along the line, but which repair facility are you talking about?

I think he *may* be referring to "Advanced RV Repair" (http://www.rvrepair-rental.com/index.htm) in Clifton Park, NY; at least, that was the only service/repair place under that name on Google (that I saw, anyway.)  It's interesting that the place's *street address* doesn't seem to appear anywhere on their website except when one clicks the "Contact Us" tab....strange.  It sounds as though folks might be better off not finding them.  :-)

In my mental archives of Lazy Daze trivia I associate "Advantage RV" as the place that the mothership sends folks to for the installation of Quickee levelers purchased from the mothership.  If this is the place I am thinking of, they moved from Montclair/Pomona to Hesperia or Victorville.  I do not certify nor depend upon the accuracy of this information but I thought there might be an "Advanced RV" to "Advantage RV" confusion going here.  I googled on "Advantage" + "RV" and found http://www.advantage-rv.com/ serving Southern California but no address.  I hope this does not muddy the waters even more.

I just looked in the Maintenance/Installation Facilities database and there are 2 listings for "Advanced RV" in Vancouver Washington.  I believe this may be the facility they are referring to.

Perhaps, in the future, it would be beneficial if posters at least stated the town and state where such facilities are located?

 This may be the place the original poster referred to; can't think why it didn't appear in Google when I quick-searched (I likely missed it if it did!).

And, I do agree about listing the specific location (with address and/or other contact information, if pertinent) when posting!

Last year Ralph did a lot of work for me on Myrtle.  He's a real decent guy.  I'm surprised you had so much trouble.  I agree with you he's not the fastest (very busy shop), but I can't fault any of the work he's done for me.

I agree that there shop is real busy but I never put them under any kind of time constraint.  Even told them to keep the RV as long as it took to do the job right.  By right I am refering to the fact that they were asked and agreed to use LD factory parts and procedures.
They did not, example putting an escape hatch

Hi Chris, Sorry about your bad experience.  I will followup with Ralph on the issue you mentioned on the roof reseal procedure.  I haven't had any leakage problems with Myrtle since his work (and would like to keep it that way too).
