The RV Trip of all RV Trips! July 28, 2005, 06:47:23 am Yahoo Message Number: 56181I have done the "BIG DADDY" of all RV Trips (at least I think I have - maybe someone else can top it?) and I wanted to mention this to my fellow RVers. Last year I traveled from USA (Texas) to the far tip of South America on a 4 month expedition, Trek of the Americas. This was over the Pan American Highway (Alaska to Argentina) and it was such a unforgetable experience - I still, everyday, have great memories of this fantastic RV adventure. If anyone would like details or to check on other planned trips, they can join the Yahoogroup site...as follows: Subscribe: Trekoftheamericas-subscribe@yahoogroups.comThis RV trip is not for everyone, however if you are willing to use your RVs' "self-contained" features, and do not require the KOA type hook-ups, want to do a lot of photography, really see how people live off the beaten TOURIST PATH...."IT'S A BLAST!"I have been told that there have been 3 different Lazydaze motorhomes on this journey, and that there was never a problem with any of the vehicles. The preferred fuel is diesel, if you have a diesel Lazydaze, it will offer you an additional savings over gas.In the future, I plan to write a short story of this adventure, and hope I can share it with you on this yahoogroup. I am traveling a lot and may not be able to answer your immediate questions you may reply to this posting...but will do as soon as possible. I can be reached at also. I hope you will enjoy the yahoogroup site....

I thought the trek was 6 months and did the perimeter of the continent. What countries did you see? Any problems? What did it cost? When you got to Argentina, was there an opportunity to visit Antarctica?Lilla
