For the first trial trip of 3 wks, I am heading out (from San Diego) this weekend to Colorado and would welcome any recommendations on campgrounds, boondocking, sites, etc. Taking along Skippy the dog and Little Kitty for help on the driving as well Thanks for your advice! P.S. Any comments about using the awning? The previous owners never used it and indicated that it wasn't the easiest to use... haven't tried to pull it out yet...

I'm not sure about awnings on the 2002 rigs, but mine doesn't "pull out, " it cranks out with a long handle that has a hook on the end that hooks into a loop on the right-side end bracket. If the previous owners were trying to pull when they should've been uncranking, that would explain their difficulties! I had no trouble with mine, just followed the instructions in the manual and looked at the legs & supports and how they opened.Joanne in Boston 1994 teal TK
