Entry Door Shade July 22, 2005, 08:06:20 pm Yahoo Message Number: 55994Jonna (and others who dislike the entry door shade), I was in a Calico Corners fabric store today and looked at their display of custom fabric roman shades. If one were to remove the valance above the door and install a roman shade high enough on the inside, it looks as though it could be a nice, discrete window covering. If it's mounted high, it looks as though it would not hang down too low (when pulled up) to interfere with entry/exit through the door. And it could be made wide enough to avoid 'side views'. Also, by attaching the little pull chain on the left, it looks as though it would be more or less out of the way. It would be inside of the room, so it could be pulled up to look out. Just something to consider for a spot that is hard to cover well. Slip covers and new/altered valances, etc are projects I have planned for fall and winter when the weather is cool, so I find everyone's redecorating comments very interesting.Doris 99 30IB
