Need new escape hatch July 22, 2005, 07:34:50 pm Yahoo Message Number: 55988Has anyone ever replaced an escape hatch cover and screen on their LD? I knew my 87 Hiccup was going to need a new plastic cover, but a vicious wind recently caught it and sent it blank-over teakettle and snapped the plastic hood completely off the piano hinge and the rivets holding the screen to the frame. Is it a specific manufactured-by-LD part, or is it a universal type design? I have temporarily duct taped it together so I can drive down the road, but with the rivets removed from their original spots, have a devil of a time closing it, and it's my only access to the roof, which I was hoping to recoat soon. Do you think your screen can be repaired? Else, you might have to order the whole hatch.Steve
