19.5 " wheels January 31, 2005, 12:26:02 am Yahoo Message Number: 50167Has anyone considered or put 19.5" wheels on their LD? I'm wondering if doing so would increase safety margins (more weight carrying capacity per tire). I asked Tim Campbell at the factory last week if he knew of anyone who had tried this. If I understood his answer correctly, he felt that there would not be enough space in the wheel-wells and that the extra load carrying capacity was not needed. Thanks for your feedback.

You can get higher load capacity tires and wheels for your LD, but this does not increase the load capacity of the chassis/drivetrain. There are so many problems incurred with changing overall tire diameter that you can consider such an effort counter-productive.Steve
