Lon, there are several BLM areas around Quartzsite -- both free and fee. Here is a website that will give you the directions to all of these areas:www.goldledge.com/features/docs_html/qblm_camping.html There are no permits required for the free areas. However, the Long Term Visitors Areas (LTVA's) DO have fees -- $30 for 14 days or $140 for the season (September 15 through April 15).
