Guys,
There are quite a few imaginitive names out there for our LD's. We're looking for a name for ours but I don't want to 'step' on someone elses.

Would you kindly respond with names you have used?

So far I saw:

Gertie Lazy Bones Big Red

Bryan & Midge 2005 26.5 RB

A couple of other suggestions for a red LD: Ramblin' Rose Rosita (for that Tex-Mex flair)

As far as our names, our brown MB was RoVer and our new blue TB is Betsy (for Betsy Ross because the new LD represents our freedom!)

We don't have a lock on our LD's name...Dreamcatcher.  It seems to fit.

I'm one of those in the much used list. My first LD, a 1987, 23' Multi-plan, was named Mz. Daisy. When I ordered the new one, I asked the group for help, and John, down in San Antonio, picked out Mz.
Daisy, Too. So that's who she is. (Hey John - howdy!)

Sarah ABQ, but getting things ready for hitting the road on the 20th - first destination, Quartzsite!

Hi Sarah,

And here I've been waiting for the prize from the "Name Sarah's new rig contest" for a long time. I think you sent it to the wrong person. I came up with the your rig's name in post #20251 back on 3/25/03. So if you and Robert combine prizes, (I'm sure he's gonna go with "Ranger") I should be able to get a meal AND desert!

As an aside, when I did a search for the name suggestion, I came across the posts from when someone was selling a high mile rig and wouldn't disclose the miles publicly. Its hilarious! If during these dreary winter days you need a good laugh, go back and read some of those posts!:) Even Andy, ever the diplomat, got into the frey!

Hello Sarah I've been looking forward to your two cents worth. glad to see you made it back from NYC hope you got to see the ball drop. Back to name that LD-Red 26 RK, what you think. So far we like Red Roze, Rambling Roze, Rozie for short (note the Z, a rose by anyother name is still a rose) I'm getting a horned lizard license plate for the toad, so we will have Rozie and the Horney Toad.

LOL Robert! That's a great combination. I can just picture a horney Toad chasing, but never catching a lovely Rozie! You may not have meant it that same way, but thanks for a cheery start to my day. Mary in No. CA where the sun is finally shining!

Bryan & Midge,

I'm really late into this string, but here goes...

I'm Paul, married to Pauline and our favorite story of all time is Wind in the Willows aka Toad of Toad Hall. Well, what could be more natural than a little bitty toad, or a POLLIWOG!

Steve K - mea kulpa!! How could I have mixed up who named Mz. Daisy Too? Well, I guess this explains how it is that you didn't get the prize - a truck-load of Omaha Steaks. I guess John K scarfed them down.
Now that I think of it, I remember that John K suggested the Dixie Chicks, but I wasn't able to go public with that one!

Sarah 2003 RB in Albuquerque for a 7 more days. Hitch itch's getting pretty severe.

We named our teal green 30 footer "Rolling Green" because we attended Bowling Green S.U. in Ohio and because she rolls ......the green can be her color or greenbacks.

We call her Greenie most of the time.

"can you tell us about where the messages start?"
Around message 19441. The would-be seller was Charles Herbert (no longer a member), who blustered on and on about how anybody who wanted to know the mileage of a used rig before buying it was just an ignorant slob who didn't understand how well LDs were built. Needless to say, he didn't make any converts--or sales--in this group! ;-)
