here is a "weather alert" (http://www.weather.com/outlook/recreation/nationalparks/weather/tend
I would recommend getting any and all weather information from the horse's mouth, rather than through weather.com, or second hand via the Park Service.  Go to weather.gov, and click on the map for your location, and you are transferred to the nearest National Weather Service Office that has responsibility for that area. You get radar, satellite, observations, watches, warnings, all in one spot from the people who issue them...without any s OR banners. Heck, you can even get the phone numbers for most offices off the website, and call them during normal business hours, or email them.

The Las Vegas office is responsible for Death Valley. Go to...www.wrh.noaa.gov/vef, and again click on the map for the location, and you will get the latest forecast information for that spot, and I mean spot, since our forecasts have gone digital and our background resolution is down to 5km. You can extract hourly temperatures, winds, relative humidity, sky conditions, probability of precipitation, etc. Tons of information for free, well sorta free, your $5 of tax money at work :)
