Expansion, Contraction, Sealing & Moisture Integrity of corner trim
Yahoo Message Number: 48421
Hello fellow LD owners, I've waited for current postings on this subject to subside before commenting.  That's happened, so I'm posting two messages on this subject, containing comments based on vast experience – or was that half vast …... Really though, I believe all of us Lazy Daze owners should try to be aware of how to keep exterior moisture away from our wood structure.

The first posting is simply this:

If you have a 2003 or later LD, you have, I believe, the latest End Cap configuration the mothership is installing.
I strongly suggest that if you have a problem with ANY of your 2003 and later LD End Caps looking like they are not securely bonded, or if gaps open between the body and the edge of an End Cap, or if cracks appear from attachment screws to the edge of cap strips, that you Email Steve Newton at the mothership to get and then follow his specific recommendations on what you need to do to maintain water- proof integrity of your LD.

As LD owners, it is our responsibility to maintain our LDs so that the wood structure stays dry.  Upon request, the mothership gives us recommendations on how to do that.
May your generators self-start and run an hour under load each month, without fail.
Don McG.
