Found at a Thrift shop
Yahoo Message Number: 47508
Today I was looking for a sheet at a Thrift Store to use until we made our Haversack.  I spotted a blue sheet that looked like it would (nearly) match the blue of the LD.  I took it down from the rack & it felt strange.  I opened it up to find that it was a queen Duvet cover, made from thick sheet material!  It's perfect! If you think about it... a Haversack is really just like an inverse duvet cover.  I'm going to let one side out & put Velcro on it.  Poof! Instant Haversack Sheet!  We've been using blankets & I think we're going to stick w/ that.  W/ us (we're going to play Duvet) inside & the blankets on top, we'll be very cozy!
OK, I know I've let myself in for it.  I've created a new euphimism...
Duvet.  ]:)

I must be missing something here. My dictionary (the OED) says that a haversack is "A bag of stout canvas, worn with a strap over the shoulder, in which a soldier carries his current day's rations. Also, any similar bag used for a like purpose by travellers, etc." You're going to sleep in a haversack?? Doesn't sound too comfortable!
