Need Mechanic Recommendation!

Our Lazy Daze didn't pass smog! :-(

We live in Murrieta, CA - does anyone have a mechanic recommendation for this area (or northern San Diego County would work too!)

Thanks in advance!

Sorry it didn't pass, but If no one responds with a specific recommendation, you might try this page from the Ford web site:

There's also Ford's Motorhome Customer Assistance Center -- 1-800- 444-3311.  When calling a place, it's a good idea to make sure that they understand that you have a class C motorhome; many service centers don't/can't work on large, heavy vehicles.

Don't know your area. What year and make chassis is this? What items did not pass?

A place that comes highly recommended is Gary's RV in Oceanside, CA.
I called them on a recent trip to S. CA. while shopping for a LD.
They were willing to take me in for a pre-purchase inspection on short notice and told me they do chassis/engine work as well as coach work. Several RV'ers on the Open Roads Forum speak highly of them.

It is a 1996 Ford E-Super Duty. It failed the 2500 RPM with a CO%
of 2.40.

sensor and it passed with a .55. Any ideas?
Well, if the O2 sensor is bad, it should trigger a computer code the mechanic can read, typically. However, they should last a long time.
It is possible it was replaced previously but was incidental to the cure. The O2 sensor does not come into play until it has warmed up, so an irregularity in the engine warm-up could affect the engine control loop which uses the O2 sensor. You might ask the previous owner some details on recent smog-test history.
