Global Pass
I travelled along Highway 9 from Las Cruces NM to Columbus NM, along the border with Mexico. I got charged by Xfinity Mobile a Global Pass fee for having crossed into Mexico, even though I did not. Just FYI.  Took an hour of texting with Xfinity to get it sorted out. Also Poncho Villa State Park is lovely and empty right now. Ran into another Lazy Daze, a 1994 shortie. Such a surprise in the middle of nowhere.

That can happen along the Canadian border as well.  It can happen if the strongest compatible cell tower signal happens to come from a cell tower that happens to be across the border.  Depending on topography, the cell tower can be several miles away.

There should be a way of setting your phone up so that it will not pick up a foreign cell tower. I remember doing this when we were spending some time near the Mexican border, but don't remember how I did it.  You can contact your cellular provider to get directions.
