Vent cover replacement. October 16, 2024, 04:02:52 pm I need to replace two of my aged vent covers. Do some of these vents require removing the vent to access the lift mechanism screws? I removed the interior screws but the screen will not come out.Thanks in advance!

I can't believe the mothership would've caulked this knowing it would be impossible to remove the screen to replace a vent cap. These has been done to two other vents as well.What are your thoughts?Thanks

Reply #3 – October 17, 2024, 12:18:09 pm Looking at your photos, the screen appears permanently glued into the plastic frame during manufacture; it isn’t designed to be removed.The old bathroom fan moves very little air compared to a Fanastic or Maxxfan.It may be time for an upgraded replacement. Our LD came with the same fan and was replaced the day after the delivery.Larry

Who needs A/C?

They offer much better protection to the somewhat fragile fan covers from most things following from the sky. And of course it’s especially nice to run the fans when it’s raining. Only the escape hatch lid is unprotected which I hope to remedy someday with a “major” upgrade to a 12V fan. However since that’s been on my wishlist for years it might just remain there!’ 1 Likes

Reply #12 – October 17, 2024, 05:14:41 pm "I may install a couple of those ..."I typically open the cover on one end of the coach, set the fan to ingress at low speed, then set the fan at the opposite end to egress at what ever speed it takes to create a draft. That way you can draw out any hot air, effectively cooling the entire coach!Alternately you can set one (or all) fan/s to exhaust if you have a window or door open with the same effect. 2 Likes
