Kitchen sink faucet
How hard is this to replace?  Also suggested types of faucets.

My daughter owns our old LD. (We have sold the Tiffin and hung up the RV keys).  De winterizing she found sink faucet assembly issues.  The hose to the nozzle is buggered and the nozzle will not screw to the hose.
I seem to remember that it is a standard household fixture but was it very, very glued down like the bath faucet is?

Thanks in advance.
(oh and hi everyone)

I replaced my kitchen faucet with a tall pull out kitchen faucet.
Let me tell you that thing was really glued down! I tried everything to dissolve the glue and etc. I ended up cutting it into pieces with a hack saw to get the faucet off. If you end up doing that, tape off around the faucet first to reduce the chances of scratching the stainless steel sinks.
I wanted to replace the bathroom faucet too but I was afraid it may damage the sink and countertop.
I do really like my new faucet. I can actually extend and point the hose out the door and spray off our feet and dog.

We also want to replace the kitchen faucet and I have spent some time reviewing previous posts on this topic.  I want a plug & play without needing to change fittings or redoing the plumbing.  The space is too tight and I’m too stiff to do any of that.

Btw, it’s nice to see John back in the neighborhood who joined this place in June 2005.  John … that qualifies you as a LDOF Old Timer Pro!

Here's what mine looked like under the faucet. The sink was holed for a 3-hole faucet. For reasons only known to them, the LD caulking team piled up caulk in the two unused holes (arrows in photo). That was the toughest caulk to get through. If you can keep from damaging the sink, a multi-tool with the rigid scraper attachment (last photo) will help a lot. Good luck to her!

Hi Jor;  That type of faucet valve has O-rings that will eventually leak into the insides of the valve body and handle assembly, then into the base and disappear below the sink. LD added that caulk so that any leak would stay visible on the counter top and let you fix it promptly.  While they could have fitted plugs for the unused holes, they were already there with the caulk and a big budget for that.
Did you need to remove that caulk for your project, or did it just bother you knowing that it was there?    RonB

Both. I put in another faucet. Later I replaced the sink but kept the faucet. I gotta say I enjoy your caulking defenses!  :D

I really wish I had dumped my Class A's and gotten an LD years ago. I would have loved to meet the Newtons. :D

JOR, would you mind sharing the Brand and where you purchased your Faucet and your large single sink? Beautiful work. It's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for your time,

Got the sink on Amazon. Here's the link: sink

I was looking for a porcelain or stainless but just could not find one that fit. This ABS is the closest I could come. If you use this one, you'll have to enlarge the counter hole, make your drawer a bit narrower and glue the sink into place. If you like, I can send you photos of how I did it. Just send me a mail at itinerantjor@icloud.com (PM doesn't allow photos).

I think I got that faucet at Home Depot. It is an inexpensive one and there are many similar ones available.
