1966 Laze Daze
Visited the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart Indiana yesterday, which has a 1966 Lazy Daze on display, or I should say almost on display, as the interior is in need of restoration.  Still, it’s great to have this original 16’ Lazy Daze preserved.

Miffed how Lazy Daze’s contribution to RVing being ignored, nor are the Newtons credited with the origin of the Class C.

That is pretty cute.  Love the steering wheel.  Wonder what the height of interior was.  Looked low.
Thanks for sharing.

Looks very much like Little Daisy, the early LD that was on display at the Mothership.
I wonder what the short wall between the coach and driver seats is about?
It appears that the overhead bunk pulls out for a bigger bed.

Thanks Dave;  Indeed that is the very same early model Lazy Daze that was on display at the factory.  The Phelps #112 was repurchased by LD and put on display near the 'showroom'.  There is a comment somewhere on here about it being delivered to the museum about two years ago when the factory was shuttered.  RonB

Searching the archives, I found Andy's comment Very Old LD  that the one on display at the factory was Number 10.  But I distinctly heard that the one at the Elkart RV museum was delivered there by Lazy Daze as they closed down the building. Mentioned on LDOG, I'm still looking for that mention. RB

"The Phelps #112 was repurchased by LD..."

Very curious to know who the "Phelps" owners may have been! Among my other relations the Phelps' are dominate and far fledged.   :o

In the period 1969 to now my house has increased in value not ten fold but Forty fold I’m not positive but I believe that shoots the inflation calculator out of the water.
We have everything we need in the USA with the exception of titanium and chromium, ergo cheaper than the rest of the world.
Then we rolled into the global economy and that’s where the inflation calculator goes out the door.
I think that a reality price for the 69 Lazy Daze would be a lot closer to double or $95,000.
