We have a White/Blue 2004 30 IB.
My wife and I want a backup camera. We are not hearing good things about WIRELESS cameras so we leaning heavily towards a WIRED Backup camera system. Is the LD rear end cap or somewhere near the center marker light prewired for a Backup Camera?

I doubt such a thing exists, but one can get along without it. :-)

I wish I'd had preinstalled wiring in my Airstream, but they used a Voyager-quality wireless camera instead... and after a couple of years it died. Obsolete technology; not worth fixing.

So I bought extension cables in the Wolfbox/Vantop format--super-skinny wire with tiny four-pin connectors--but I found that for my setup (17' truck plus 19' trailer), the rear-view camera system only worked intermittently--too much voltage drop in all that tiny wire (looked like about 26 gauge!). So I bought some 16/4 cable from Custom Cable & Wire, an outfit I've dealt with before when buying marine-grade wire. I cut up one of the rear-view camera's extension cables and spliced a couple feet onto each end of the 16 gauge cable, to mate with the camera on one end and the mirror display on the other.

That solved my problems. If I'd had existing four-conductor wiring, I would have done the same thing, splicing short sections of Vantop/Wolfbox cable onto the ends of the existing wiring.
