A LDer from 73 Years Ago
LDer is probably not a useful phrase but it’s what I am even “back in the day!”   Roy Rogers, Trigger and Mickey Mantle were my heroes.  At any rate … 73 years ago.

Ed!

Can I tell you about the Christmas my sister and I got matching Dale Evans outfits, with the skirts and vests with fringe and hats!  Unfortunately, no horses!  But then we grew up on the sandy beaches of Cape Cod!

I highly recommend the Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth!

If you like cowboys your certain to like this museum!

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum - Oklahoma City, OK

Oh, and I once got to shake the hand of Roy Rogers and his son at a NRA Convention one year.

And here's still another 'do not miss' kinda place!

Steve:

I heartily agree that the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City is fabulous!  We have visited about 3 times and wish we could go back again.

Another interesting little museum is the Tom Mix Museum in Dewey OK.  He was not the guy most of America believed him to be!
