Replacement Dometic plastic drawers
Unpacking the rig last night we dropped one of the clear plastic drawer/bins that we keep fruit in…..looking to purchase a replacement….anyone face this same search?

Our Dometic is Model DM2862RBX

Several years ago, Kent found a large Norcold crisper that replaces the two drawers.
We have one in our LD's Dometic, it provides more storage in the same space, and my wife loves it.

The Norcold tray fits well, hope they are still produced.

We switched to the longer Norcold tray a year or so ago. It is a big improvement. More and longer veggies can be fit in the tray as compared with the clear ones.

Also switched to the single Norcold bin, and as everyone has said, much better!
   I got it on Amazon last year:  Amazon.com: Norcold 618571 White Crisper : Appliances
  But now says “currently unavailable”

I’m not sure if that is just the shading from the picture. The description says it is white. I ordered one from Hide N Seek Marine.

Is everyone comfortable with the measurements, particularly the depth of 13"?  The depth of the original bin is 9.25".....

     I’m also wondering about the width of the replacement bin.  I have a 5” wide tray on the door of my fridge in the lowest position.  My current bins are 9” x 9” x 6”.  I’m assuming that I would have to remove the door tray in order to accommodate the wider bin?

When one of our Dometic vegetable drawer handles broke, I looked for an alternative drawer that offered more usable space.

I purchased a Norcold drawer that fit perfectly and was far less brittle and replaced the two drawers that Dometic used. NORCOLD INC White NORCOLD 618571... Amazon.com: Norcold 618571 White Crisper : Appliances

Looks like Amazon no longer stocks this item but Norcold links should take you to the item. EBay prices are crazy. I think I paid $35 for new.

It is a great drawer and holds more food.

Hi Kent,

I apologize for going off topic, and I'm saying this as sort of a (sad) joke, but...$34.68 in 2019 (if I'm reading your image correctly) has the same buying power as $41.65 in 2023.

So, the $37 I just paid on ebay for a new example of this drawer is pretty good compared to what they were going for back then.

That only holds true if the website I used to make that calculation is correct.
