$300 Christmas present from Ford??? November 29, 2023, 06:29:02 pm I got this letter from Ford and in part they are saying…The marketing material for the 2021-2022 model year Econoline equipped with a premium rated 7.3L engine incorrectly overstated the power ratings by 25 horsepower and 18 lb.ft. of torque.Ford is providing a $300 credit to the original purchaser or lessee. This offer will be in effect until August 31, 2024 regardless of mileage.I followed the emails instructions and they say a $300 check is coming in 4-6 weeks. Did anyone else get this email? Pretty cool if it happens 😎 - John

Re: $300 Christmas present from Ford??? Reply #2 – November 29, 2023, 10:11:27 pm Pretty darn generous of Ford ponying up money for a misstatement of horsepower, especially since no one made their Lazy Daze purchase decision based on 350 hp instead of the real 325 hp.Didn’t even look up that my TK had 305 hp until just now.😉 1 Likes
Re: $300 Christmas present from Ford??? Reply #3 – November 29, 2023, 11:01:49 pm Such generosity may be either to avoid, or in reaction to a class action suit. Hopeully the former, where Ford is virtually taking food out of the mouths of starving ambulance chasers...... 1 Likes

Re: $300 Christmas present from Ford??? Reply #10 – December 14, 2023, 02:48:07 pm Wow!, only $300 for lying to the customers and receiving 25 less horsepower and less torque than what was advertised. The V8 is less than what was originally promised and not as significant an upgrade over the V10.I'm not nearly as envious of the V8 as I once was. Re: $300 Christmas present from Ford??? Reply #11 – December 14, 2023, 07:39:39 pm I’ve had the opportunity to do a real life comparison between the two engines with two coaches of equal size and weight pulling the same toad over a large variety of terrain from the Rocky Mountains to the upper Midwest and home to Florida. Without a doubt the new V-8 engine performs significantly stronger than the V-10 engine. I don’t concern myself with the power numbers but with the performance particularly with quickly merging into traffic and any other issues that need spare power. As a bonus we are still waiting for the $$$. Mike C 2 Likes
