New Sink
It just goes to show that some people are never satisfied. So I put a new faucet on the sink and replaced both of the drains. Took a trip and started hatin' on that double sink. Anyhow, out with the old and in with a single tub. This is more like it and also, without all the double sink plumbing there's more room down below. A win-win!

Looks absolutely fantastic, Jor!

I too dislike the double sink, and will probably try to switch it out at some point (perhaps at the same time I replace the already-purchased faucet).

Where did you get that sink? Do you have a model #, so that I can check the specs?

Amazon: sink
I did an exhaustive search (from my couch) for a stainless sink I could fit in there but came up empty. I thought about replacing the counter with butcher block which would allow for more choice in sinks but decided to just do the sink for now.

Home Depot or any decent home center will have what you need, replumbing a sink is relatively simple.

Larry is correctomundo, however in this case, you only need to buy one fitting.
* Cut off the exit pipe (blue arrow)
* Buy one 90 degree fitting and glue it to the exit pipe (yellow arrow)
* Use the longer of the two 90s from the double sink plumbing (red arrow)
- the p-trap is in the compartment below.

Thanks! One more question - what with did you coat the underside of the sink, and why?

This sink has more depth than the stock sink and this can be an issue with drains that go straight into the wall instead of dropping through the lower cabinet’s top shelf. Older T/Ks have this problem.
This isn’t a problem for Steve’s and our 24’ FLs.
Our sink is developing tiny surface cracks around the drains.

The sink is lightweight ASB. I had some extra sound deadening material (same stuff I used on the doghouse). You know how sinks usually have some kind of thicker coating on the bottom. That was the idea.

You just made my day! There were only 3 left when I ordered.

We have a 2000 26.5MB. Did you need to drill a new hole for the faucet?

Looks amazing!

Got it! Looks like the stuff I used on our bathroom sink to keep the bowl water warmer in cold weather. I think Larry is thinking now about converting his - he can be my guinea pig!

I see the same sink on the Lippert website where it comes in Stainless Steel, Parchment, or White. To me, the picture of the stainless steel sink looks like some sort of brown.

The stainless steel is a color not material. On Amazon site they claim to have black sink but folks are saying it’s gray (stainless steel)

I was hoping you would have your’s done by the time we get home.
I have other projects to complete first.

I guess then the p-trap would be on the other side of the wall? Anyhow, in another rig I was trying to get more room under the sink. I installed this gizmo which eliminates the p-trap. Works great. (no p-trap)

So for those thinking of a single sink bowl, JOR's no 'P' trap might go with this Houzer Kitchen Sink - Stainless Steel 25" Metal Topmount Drop In Multipurpose...   stainless sink.  At 8" deep it is 1.4" deeper than the Lippert.  20 gauge is a bit thin, but about the same counter depth overall. The angled fit in the Midbath might be hard to do.    Just browsing for sinks that would fit.  Found a smaller sink.  Bar Sink, MENSARJOR 14'' x 18'' Single Bowl Kitchen Sink, 16 Gauge Undermount...   As an undermount, it should be useable as a drop-in sink also.
That would mitigate the depth, so it wouldn't take up as much room underneath.
JOR did you have to cut any counter away to fit your sink?       RonB

Yes. One half inch on the back and one inch on the front. The sides were good. To get a 25 incher in there is a tight fit. Matter of fact, I had to narrow the top drawer (next to stove) 1/2" to clear the sink.

On the mid bath, I don't think that stainless one you found would work. Just not enough room. And the under mount is too small for the factory cutout (on my rig).

Forgot to mention. I glued in a couple of 2/2s to give the very thin counter some reinforcement.

Hi Jor;  I had no idea that counter was that thin. Not like LD to do that.  I forgot about the drawer clearance issue. In my 'TK the drawers are almost in another cabinet, but I would lose some of what little counter surface area I have.

The Factory acrylic sink is glued in place, providing structural strength to the countertop,
I doubt if the PVC replacement is as rigid as the original, reinforcement seems like a good idea.

And when do we get to hear about these other projects?   🤨

They are mostly mundane maintenance items involving the steering, suspension and brakes.
The fun stuff comes later, the Jeep is begging for upgrades.

Joe,

Did you have to cut an access panel in order to do the p-trap?
