Re: What is it? [round object near entry door] Reply #4 – June 17, 2023, 09:50:30 pm One thing is for certain and that is this object is not a factory installed option. 😄And it doesn’t look like a camera or doorbell. OP didn’t mention seeing anything on the inside which might be connected to this mystery item. So my best guess it might be magnetic socket for a security camera like an Arlo. Place something like a paper clip on it and see if it’s magnetic. 1 Likes

Stumped! These are quite common in manufactured homes. They are placed on the wall where a door swings open to absorb the THUD! I found another use for them, too. I put one at each corner of my glass chopping block. I like having it up off the counter a little way. Not sure why. Virtual hugs, Judie 1 Likes

Re: What is it? [round object near entry door] Reply #11 – June 18, 2023, 01:50:02 pm Hi Don; I'm still trying to think what it might be. A bumper of some sort. I'm going to assume you have the standard Fiamma awning. When deployed I used to hang the awning winder rod on the mount for the center stiffener, (that nobody uses). In your RB that would be right about there. Motion inside the rig would make that arm bang against the body. In case a wind comes up suddenly, I thought it would be handy to have ready (quick) access to the rod to stow or reduce the portion of exposed awning. This can happen really suddenly, and leaves a mangled wreckage behind (witnessed that!) So try that first just to see if that could be the reason for it. RonB 1 Likes
