Trik-L-Start Going Away?
It was brought to my attention in a recent article by Mark Nemeth in Escapees Magazine that Trik-L-Start may be shutting down.  The article stated that the owner of LSL Products passed away in late 2022 and it's unknown if the products will be available in the future. The website seems to indicate this:

Hi Greg;  Sad to see, but that could happen.  The Amp-L-Start had an electronic problem dealing with the DC/DC converter charging LiF batteries, so the fix was to disable it with the engine running. Lifted the ground.  RV with Tito found a $21 substitute Solar charge controller that could be hooked up to the Lif's (pretending to be a PV panel) that would charge the lead acid  battery, only if it needed it.  When I complicated matters by removing the diode isolator, that left my CB radio, dash radio, and one dash power point (that I rewired years ago to run on the house battery), connected to the chassis battery.  My BalMar monitor tells me my chassis battery is at 14v most of the time, because my old Trik-L-Start runs too much to the chassis battery.  I have this   Amazon.com : HUINE 20A 12V 24V Auto IP68 Waterproof PWM Solar Charge...   on order. Thought I'd try it. Small enough to fit in my battery box area. Not in the engine bay.  RonB

Greg-

The rumor is that Trik-L-Start will be back in business sometime soon. Hopefully, that’s the case. LSL Products was a one man business working out of his house and a rented warehouse space. The owner, Joel Donaldson died but demand is still coming in daily. It’s a San Antonio company and I’m in the SA area, so I’m familiar with the location they used. I may go by there and see what’s happening.

Before LD started installing the Blue Sky 3000i which will charge the starting battery along with the coach battery, the Trik-L-Start was a popular option, I installed several. Nowadays, it is not as useful since many solar chargers can now charge the starting battery.

LSL also sold the Toad-Start, used to keep the toad battery charged while being towed. Chris Horst's CRV was the first Toad-Start I installed Toad-Start in. I wasn't aware of it until Chris showed up with the Toad-Start.
Today, Rvbrake sells a charger that is more commonly used.
RVi Towed Battery Charger Plus, charge line replacement for flat towing

LSL sold ventilators for the battery compartment and holding tanks. I'm not sure what else LSL may have sold.

One advantage of the Trik-L-Start (succeeded by the Amp-L-Start) is that it will also maintain the starting battery from shore power, not just from solar power like the Blue Sky 3000i.

True and a advantage if your RV is parked indoors for long periods.
Wish I had that problem.
