LD Companion navigation issue September 17, 2022, 05:12:24 am How does one navigate from the Companion Home page to the alphabetical index of articles? I haven’t found a link to click on.
Re: LD Companion navigation issue Reply #1 – September 17, 2022, 07:55:17 am Look at the right margin for 'Labels', there is your alpha list. All you have to do is call it the same thing as the author did.I regret there is only one way to access the articles. It started out to have three, but my comrades in the project could not be bothered by such. 3 Likes
Re: LD Companion navigation issue Reply #2 – March 01, 2023, 12:05:10 pm Sometimes it is there , sometimes it isn’t.Right now, I don’t see anything on the right, from any accessible page using the drop down menu in Home. Would it be possible to add the index to the drop down menu?
Re: LD Companion navigation issue Reply #3 – March 02, 2023, 02:26:17 am Some additional information: The index does appear on my laptop, but not on my iPhone.

It will request the desktop version. 2 Likes
Re: LD Companion navigation issue Reply #5 – March 03, 2023, 02:57:00 am That works. Kinda defeats the point of having a mobile version, if it doesn’t support important functionality. The mobile version would be more useful if it had a way to access the index, right?
Re: LD Companion navigation issue Reply #6 – March 03, 2023, 11:34:52 am I click on the web version and get what I see on my computer. I know my way around this version, sometimes I really dislike doing everything on my cell phone. I use a Pixel 6 and find it a little more forgiving than my wife's " I " phone for me.Jon

I cannot see anyone spending the time to create/maintain a mobile version. If we all agree that the current mobile version is useless on phones, then force usage of the web version by updating the Lazy Daze Companion link to The Lazy Daze Companion 2 Likes

Re: LD Companion navigation issue Reply #11 – March 05, 2023, 02:28:45 am Hi Dave, I don't know much about how a mobile phone ports into an application meant for a laptop. And I certainly understand why Don is going to leave the Companion the way it is. I've used my tablet and everything that would appear on a laptop, also appears on the tablet. I've also used my cell phone, and I didn't notice much difference. (Android). I'll have to look more closely. RonB
Re: LD Companion navigation issue Reply #12 – March 05, 2023, 07:26:24 pm I 'looked' at this page with both the Firefox browser and on my Pixel 7 Pro without any problems. I knew that Google has made all Blogger pages mobile and pc web-friendly.glen

All web browsers that follow the 'official' rules will work.glen

RonBJust to clear things up, I am referring to the “The Lazy Daze Companion” link under “Helpful Links”If that link is changed to “https://lazydazearticles.blogspot.com/?m=0”Then you get the default webpage view for the Companion on an iPhone, rather than the mobile view. Not proposing any change to the Companion, just how our Helpful Links point to it.
