Any chance LD will reopen ?
Is the factory being demolished or still usable?

It will never reopen. It has been stripped of anything useful. I'm sure the property will be razed and turned into a strip mall or housing. Whatever the zoning laws allow.   RonB

As Ron said, “it will never reopen. It has been stripped of anything useful.” With that, if you have a desire to see the Mothership property while the facility was still active check out Google Earth before it completely disappears.

Brings back some wonderful memories for this ol’ LD owner. 🥰

I wonder what became of the tooling and patterns?  We visited the factory in about 2012 and they said the new front cap mold cost $50,000.  Sad if they threw that away.  Also, more importantly would be the machines to make the roof edge caps. Those could be very handy to have around.

Hey, Tooth. These are great photos. Do you happen to have more of the build process?

Unfortunately, I only went to the mothership one time while our rig was being built, and I just focused on ours.  Wish I had taken more while on the tour!
