Used Lazy Daze RV Asking Prices...
I think in 2019 Chris Horst posted a PDF file with the average asking prices for Lazy Daze models by the year.  While I'm sure that this is to be used as a general guideline it helps potential buyers.

On FaceBook, I'm a member of a Lazy Daze group and someone posted photos about potentially buying a 1999 24 foot Lazy Daze for $28,000.  According to the PDF Chris uploaded in 2019 the average price was 1/2 of amount the seller was asking.  Obviously, not having learned to keep my nose out of people's business I mentioned the PDF file and that it was TWICE that price (albeit a year ago).

The seller has listed all sorts of things done, but in my opinion most of the items were general maintenance.  One person posted that "prices have gone up" for used Lazy Daze RV's, but have they gone up to twice the amount they were a year ago?  I understand the dynamics of supply and demand, and people are certainly free to spend their money however they wish.

However, I bought my 1998 mid-bath in 2015 for $20,000 with 61,000 miles after searching for a year.

Cheryl, thanks for your post. As you are aware and as I made clear when posting used Lazy Daze prices, caution should be used when considering our used LD estimates. They are only guidelines. That said, the resale market for used RVs including LDs has changed significantly thanks to the pandemic. How the market will shake out is probably dependent on how long it takes to create a vaccine. An updated used LD price list will be published, with Greg's help, when the next price changes are posted on the official Lazy Daze website and the used market chills a bit. Anyone who has tried to buy a used Lazy Daze lately will tell you it's a seller's market.

Cheryl,   the used prices on premium RVs like the Lazy Daze have shot up dramatically.   The market for new RVs has also gone through the roof.  At my Camping World in Tucson, I was told that they sold 85 units over Memorial Day weekend.  A friend of mine is the sales manager at  a large RV dealer in town, and he said that they are swamped busy with sales.  Part of this is the pandemic, part of it is very low interest rates.  When you own a very low volume RV like a LD, sellers can get what appear to be "high" prices.

Hmmmm wondering how much my 2008 Rear Bath with 21,000 miles would go for these days?? :D  Not selling but curious to know how crazy the current market is.

Hi Brewer;  Found this 2007 RB on RVtrader for $33k, 58,000 miles. Yours, a year newer and half the miles, might go for an asking price of $36K, maybe as much as $40k since  the 'desperation' level seems to be high. Condition and actual sale price depends on finding a buyer willing to pay the price. As Joan would say "YMMV".   RonB

With what's going on in the market I had this crazy idea of getting on the list for a new one (I want the driver assist!!! LOL) and selling ours...I probably run the risk of living in the rig full time if I mention that to my better half!!!

Bill, doesn’t cost anything to get on the list. In the meantime, you’ll have lots of time to talk her into it!  I want the driver assist also!

I have a 1979 17-1/2' rear bunk model that I plan on selling. The engine is strong (Dodge Sportsman), but needs work as she's been sitting un-driven for three years, and for more than fifteen years before I acquired her. I don't know how much to ask for her, but have been offered as much as $3,500 in her "as-is" condition.

Would love some advice.

An old school LD that has sat for over 15 years mostly likely has multiple points of leakage. The front caps need frequent resealing.
As Greg said, I would take the $3500 offer, as long as it is sold “as is” and the new owner take care of passing any mandatory inspections.

Since the current condition of the "economy" is not the same as it was two years ago, perhaps this group can revisit this topic. I have learned many members are not hesitant to give their opinion.

In my opinion, RVs are at peak value.  A downward spiral has or will be coming soon.  Gas prices and rules on emission testing along with electric vehicles will bring the demand and prices down from here.  If you are thinking of selling now is the time.

Prices for RVs (in general) has already began.  A friend looking for a new trailer said she saw prices dropping starting last May.   Bought this month for 1/3 lower than prices last May.

When we got signals LD might not be making LDs again (or not soon) last May, we looked at other brands, Cs and super Cs.  The dealers were just starting to get new models in (after being go very low for a while).  I read reports often now about dealers having “too much” stock and manufacturers slowing down production (including closing some plants).

And I see a lot of SOBs out there for sell that are only a few years old.

LDs are different because of the quality and the demand. 
No way to know if LDs are at a peak and this is the best time to sell, time will answer that question.

I should add over the pandemic with the demand higher it generally appeared to me that all LDs, regardless of year and model, seemed to be selling for $10,000 more than before the pandemic.

There are several flippers out there, who do things to lower purchase price (sob stories, at purchase time suddenly pointing out lots of problems, verbally bombarding the person while they are trying to count money so they don’t realize a good chunk of money was missing until afterwards) then jacking up then price real high again with stories and false information. Check with the DMV / car fax if the person has the title in in their name (confirm with government ID) and for how long.
Flippers are asking for (but not getting for the 2 I know out there right now) ridiculous prices and will wait for someone who will overpay.
