Photo Piracy discussion
"I was expecting to see the almost original first Dodge Tradesman I think, still there. Was it #106?"

It was number 10.

Andy,  Some people use that pix in Craigslist ads in my area.  I think they are wanted ads.  I was lucky enough to see that one back in 2010 time frame.

If it's that exact photo, it was swiped from my website. Huh. Not worth making a fuss over, I guess, but it's still annoying that people think anything on the web is magically in the public domain. (It isn't.) Reminds me of the time the New Mexico state park system used one of my website's photos without permission on their website. I wrote to them asking them to at least give credit. No reply. :-(

Andy,
The photo piracy happens at all levels and is pervasive.  Sea World San Diego used one of my copyrighted underwater photos in their promotional literature a few years ago. When I called their advertising department and brought it to their attention, they said they assumed the image was a public domain photo because they found it on another site (which had paid me for its use).  I suggested that they pay the going rate for their use to date and they said that they would no longer use it, but would not pay for the prior unauthorized use.

Little different angle?
